3. FOLLOW CLASSROOM OPERATING PROCEDURES:
DISCIPLINE CYCLE FOR GRADE 1
STEP #1: Teacher will draw the attention of the student(s) showing the undesired behavior.
STEP #2: Student’s name is called and a verbal direction is given to the child..
STEP #3:Teacher or the student will move their clip from the Ready To Learn poster to the Warning poster.
STEP #4:Teacher or the student will move their clip from the Warning poster to the Parent Contact poster. A parent will be notified by the teacher explaining their child's behavior.
STEP #5: A student who does not correct behavior may be removed from the classroom and referred to an administrator. A parent will be contacted.
FIRST GRADE HOMEWORK
Monday - Practice reading High-Frequency words and phonics words. Read this week’s reading story to a parent or guardian.
Tuesday - A skills reinforcement page will be sent home as written work. Continue to practice reading High-Frequency words and phonics words. Reading book is sent home for additional reading practice.
Wednesday - Same as Tuesday
Thursday - A skills reinforcement page will be sent home as written work. Practice reading High-Frequency words and phonics words.
Friday - No homework
REMINDER:
Homework may vary, due to Home Links in the Everyday Math program and various schedule changes. Please check your child’s folder daily for any special notes and homework.
